Biog written by Erle Montaigue, Industry Professional for 40 years.

At only 17 years of age, Aisha is already a professional musician/songwriter. She has the uncanny ability to pick up almost any instrument and play it in a short time. Her vocal range, timbre and phrasing are superb and her songs compliment her talents with lyrical and melodic tunes. Aisha left school at 13 to be home schooled so that she could concentrate upon her chosen subjects of music and dance which would eventually become her career path.

Born in Wales, with Afro/Welsh heritage, Aisha grew up in Swansea Wales with her Mother and two siblings. She had to walk 3 miles there and back to attend school each day until her Mother took her out of school when she was 13 to be home schooled so that she could concentrate on her chosen subjects of music and dance.

At age 10 Aisha found her Uncle's guitars and began playing around with them and soon realised that she was able to play them without tuition. In 2004 at age 13, Aisha met her first boyfriend when she was taking self defence lessons in Swansea and Eli Montaigue was the instructor and also the drummer for the band, Moontagu. Eli and Aisha have been together ever since. They plan to me married in the not too distant future.

It was at this time, that the Moontagu band needed a bassist, so using her unique talents, Aisha literally picked an old bass guitar and began playing it to the amazement of all the band members! Since then, she has become an integral part of the band's repertoire. On one occasion, Moontagu were rehearsing a vocal only performance of Waltzing Matilda and asked Aisha to sing one of the verses. Eli was Aisha's first inspiration who encouraged her to begin singing. And it was on this occasion that the rest of the band heard her voice, albeit very reticently. Erle Montaigue, leaned over and heard something that he recognised only in a few others he had heard, a perfect voice! However, it needed to be brought out and that is what was done over the next few months encouraging Aisha to sing wherever possible, firstly singing back up to mature her voice and then singing whole songs written by Erle Montaigue.

Aisha came into the recording studio one day with a song she had written called "True Love" which she wanted to record and give as a gift to Eli. Again, Erle Montaigue was surprised at how professional and beautiful this song was and wondered who Aisha was learning from for the past 5 years or so! Of course she hadn't taken any lessons, just using her natural ability with melody, lyrics and phrasing to come up with a track that will be included on her first CD album now being recorded.

Since those early days, and still only 17, Aisha has just recorded her first professional Maxi-Single containing 5 songs for Diamond Life Records UK to be released into 2009 digitally for download form all major sites including I-Tunes and Amazon.

Aisha is also a brilliant dancer of the Latin/ballroom genre and this natural movement ability comes into her performances. Nowadays, Aisha sings her own songs with Moontagu backing her, plays bass, guitar, piano and also sings vocal harmonies for which she has perfect pitch and phrasing. Whenever a difficult harmony is needed, Aisha is the one to whom the band come for advice. Aisha's first love (apart from the obvious), is music and regardless of whether she truly makes it in this difficult business, will continue to write sing and play her music.
