Alumni born Waliek Copeland in Brooklyn, New York grew up as a military brat with his father being a proud soldier in the United States Air Force and his mother a business manager, he and his younger sister traveled extensively around the world.

This 20+ emcee holds a Bachelors degree from Georgia Southwestern University in Biology and a Master’s degree from Troy University in Foundations of Education. During his undergraduate days he began developing his knack for rhyming being engaged in numerous freestyle battles in dorm hallways coming out victorious by this his name slowly developed a buzz around campus growing a heavy name for himself.

After transitioning out of various groups he set sail on his own with his own imprint Nu Dae Entertainment putting out 2 high profile mixtapes gaining respect from djs and music execs throughout Georgia, Alabama, and Florida opening up for the likes of Pastor Troy, Bone Crusher, Killer Mike and numerous others making his performances one to demand for. Now fast forward to 2009 the YEAR OF CHANGE! The debut album of Alumni is here appropriately titled "Well Respected" in this game you gotta give respect, demand respect to get respect.
