BiGGs from Florida

Artist History

Hailing
from the city of Caprices and Impalas where it's a hard knock life by day
but lights, camera, action by night. A city known for its glitz and glamour
but often overlooked for its breeding ground of fresh talent. Meet BiGGs,
M-I-YA-Yo's latest concoction of feel good, ride out music. In a city
that's produced a versatile range of sounds from the infamous Miami bass to
street gangsta, BiGGs introduces a rare blend of Northern lyrical word play
encompassed over southern swag and vibe.

Choosing the microphone as his outlet as opposed to falling victim to the
merciless Miami streets, BiGGs caught the music bug at the tender age of 12
putting pen to paper and letting his lyrical thoughts flow into what would
later become over 100 tracks. Soon enough as time progressed so did his
writing style. Now, he's making it official as a debut artist pushing
through amongst the hyped clutter in the music industry and dedicated to
lasting for more than just the typical 15 minutes of fame. When others are
releasing singles just meant to last a short season using infectious bubble
gum rhymes simply to hook airplay, BiGGs is focused on creating mature
music gangsta enough for the Chevy's riding high yet subtle enough to woo
the ladies.

As his first single and introduction to the world, "Look Good" is BiGGs'
own personal way of showcasing that good old Miami style that has it dubbed
as one of the best hotspots in the country. Just as the sun shines in Miami
like no place else and with a melting pot of beautiful people, "Look Good"
is a single with swagger, style, and confidence and appeals to audiences
all over craving for feel good music that's made for more than just the
dance floor. The single is one of many other strong tracks from his
forthcoming debut album, Pound-4-Pound, off the Knockout Boys Entertainment
imprint.

"Pound-4-Pound" is a three-track southern gangsta single featuring the original, instrumental, and a capella versions of BiGGs’ “Look Good.” BiGGs' has the vocal ability to intimidate as well as to bring the ladies to their knees. He has a great singing voice as well as a great flow reminiscent of the Notorious B.I.G. and Lil Wayne. The backing music sequence supports this intimidation/coercion dichotomy, as you get a thick, bumping beat with subtle and varied accents and quirky yet atmospheric synths. The second track, the instrumental version of “Look Good,” gives you a whole different perspective on the track and allows you to focus on the dramatic hints. The a capella version stands on its own as well; you definitely feel the rhythm without hearing it, and it paints a complete picture of BiGGs’ talents as an emcee. This single is recorded excellently, so the track sounds great as a whole and broken down. “Pound-4-Pound” certainly leaves you wanting to hear more of what BiGGs has to offer the music world in both arrangement and vocals. If you enjoy the Miami style of hip-hop, you'll enjoy this CD.
