Bobby picked up his first guitar in 1994, not expecting to do much more than play ‘Mary Had A Little Lamb’ or ‘Jingle Bells’ with it. Since then, he has seen himself as a fortunate soul who has been able to pour out his heart to God in the quiet of a closed bedroom with the help of a six string. Largely self-taught, he began his journey as a songwriter independently. Aside from a few brief stints of playing with other musicians or leading worship for youth groups and church services, he has always performed his songs solo, though he often imagines what each song would sound like were they orchestrated to a fuller degree.
The music you will hear on this project was written by Bobby between 1998 and 2007. They are a selection of his songs, chosen because they are among the most complete in form and thought. Each song is a reflection of Bobby's heart at one point in time, whether it be a recollection on convicting truths, a musical prayer, or the response to some emotionally triggering experience.

This self titled double CD brought to you by Bobby Thomas is filled with straight from the heart, lyric-driven songs. It is spiritual by nature and speaks of truth and faith. It is quite relaxing to listen to. Bobby's voice is soothing and his harmonic acoustic guitar progressions relate well to his voice. The musicianship and production value is very good. The vocals are very intimate and the guitar sounds great. Highlights are "The World As It Is," with prolific lyrics and a great sing-along quality. "Cephas' Song" features a strong vocal performance and nice guitar work. "Guard Your Heart" has a nice offbeat guitar rhythm and unique colors in the changes. If you like spiritual acoustic Music, you'll enjoy this one.-William and the RadioIndy.com Reviewer Team
