A Man Called Hoarse is one of the side projects, of electro composer/songwriter, Carl Moses. Armed with computers, sequencer's, guitar's and a great imagination - oh yeah and a bag of originals homemade samples - A Man Called Hoarse is carving his niche in the world of electro soundtracks. So when one dares to fuse devilish irish reels & hillbilly country with edgy, quirky, electro scratch beats, the results are not surprisingly interesting with a capital 'I'.
But mixing the fiddle with electro or hip-hop, is not where AMCH will rest his leftfield musical creativity. He intends to put his monicker on music styles that interest him, just like Luke Vibert and in some ways 'early' Beck. He especially wants to create a pot pourri album of eclectic tunes, splicing all things celtic with gospel, blues,african, chinese - and a whole host of ethnic and european genres - with his warped musical tendencies.
Recently, Carl Moses was approached by THE PROJECTS - a Los Angeles based TV production company specializing in sports documentaries for the NO FEAR sports brand - wanting to use his soundtrack 'AFRICAN IRISH' for their forthcoming Motorcross movie entitled 'TGO 2005'. What had originally been an interest in 'one track' for 'one movie' - soon turn into twelve tracks for two movies!! Ironically enough, 'African Irish' was left of the movie. Carl has been invited to Los Angeles to compose for The Projects next movie in 2006.
