Artist History

The C.R. Ecker Band has released four singles and one four song E. P. so far in 2012.  This comes after release of its first song -- "Bushwacked (Bewildered, Beat-up Bad and Broke)" during the Summer of 2011.

This time around, the band incorporates three outstanding female vocalists, Amber Rose,  Susie Stevens and Roxanne Rialito, into the mix.  Amber talkes the microphone with the first country recast of "Once in a While" on its 75th Anniversy, "Whisper Sweet Nothins" and "Your Smile Says it All."  Susie, an accomplished Hollywood-based TV and film vocalist, leads with "Heartless," a song about love-gone-south  "I Believe in You," a song about absolute devotion, and "A Bright Tomorrow."  The latter is the band's sole Christian single to date.  Roxanne joins with the band's leader singer, Buck Young, on the traditional country song -- "A Lotta' Love."

One of Southern California's best known male country music vocalists, Michael Stanton, leads the band at the microphone for the just- released "Along the Trail" E.P.  This four song set includes "When God Created You,"'California Cowboy," "My Boss," and "What Can I Do?"

The band launched in August, 2011,with  an extravagant Times Square electronic billboard lighting ceremony, is a mix of traditional and contemporary country songs covering serious issues such as unemployment and loss of a pet, long lost love and a pick-up truck haul of happy, upbeat songs of life.  Of particular note is "I Just Wanna' Meet Girls," which has received rave reviews around the world including RadioIndy and put the bands into the 'Artist of the Year' finals at the Starliners Radio Network, where it shared "Country Artist of the Year."

Another single, "Dixie Lee," is also available on digital download services and delves into the subject of infidelity and its consequences.  This song, delivered with force and emotion, was peformed by Young, an original Eagle Rock band member who sang nine of the ten songs on the first album, and carries a Parental Advisory label.

RadioIndy Reviews: I Just Wanna Meet Girls by C. R. Ecker

The C.R. Ecker Band releases another wonderful Country single, “I Just Wanna Meet Girls.” This song is the second single from their album,  “Bushwacked (Bewildered, Beat-up Bad and Broke),” and has a delightful classic Country sound. The instruments are dynamically balanced as they keep a bouncy rhythm to this enchanting melody. The lyrics, and you would expect this from reading the title, are fun and quite witty as they are a tribute to the ups and downs of being a teenage boy meeting girls. The vocals are charming and capture the free spirited feeling this song has to offer. This band proves they can have fun with music in a creative, toe tapping Country style. If you like Hank Williams or Buck Owens then you will really enjoy the fantastic single, “I Just Wanna Meet Girls.”
