Candice “Candy” Marion is more than an R & B singer, she is musical sweetener. From hip-hop to Jazz, she is a vocalist flavored with many spices. As an artist for the Deserted Island Music label; Hustlaz, Inc., she brings tasteful, street sophistication to the label and the music industry. With the company behind her, Candy is ready to floss. Music fans will need a dental check-up after getting a taste of this.

“I can write songs to the perfection of my voice,” says Candy. “I’m not shy of the studio.”

A current resident of Houston, TX, Candy spends quality studio time lending her voice to production projects back  home in Michigan and throughout the Southwest and Midwest  regions. Many of her peers consider Candy to be the premier female vocalist in that area. She does frequent live performances, headlining such events as the annual Peace Jam concert. She also opens for numerous talents, including Jadakiss and Lil Flip.

“When I was 8 years, I opened up for the Spinners,” Candy recalls. “I made the front page of the Muskegon Chronicle newspaper for performing in Peace Jam and I’ve performed in front of thousands of people.”

“I love audiences, singing for people and having them enjoy my voice,” Candy says. “I grew up singing in church, singing in many church programs. It’s just in my blood – I came from a singing family.”

Candy’s father is legendary Blues and Jazz guitarist, Big Daddy Fox. He is known to challenge his daughter, teaching her different vocal styles beyond R & B. Her mother, Betty is a respected artist manager and talent scout in the North. Candy also performs with the popular rap group Pharmacy Commission, in which her brother is a member.

“I’m blessed with a voice to please the young and the old,” Candy says. “I’m sexy and determined; I possess showmanship without shame, and a good spirit to understand where my qualifications came from and not to forget the bridges that helped me cross over.”
