Artist History
My name is Dale Denker. The title of my debut album is "Urban Milo". "Urban Milo" is a mixture of songs, all written by me, from rock to reggae and from country to blues. Much of my life is reflected in my music. I was raised on a farm in Missouri and now live in the Kansas City area. I have worked blue collar jobs as well as white collar. I have struggled economically and have battled alcoholism. I have experienced sadness and happiness that transcends all logic. My story is told in my music in a way that I hope others can relate to, find comfort in and simply enjoy listening to.

"Urban Milo" by Dale Denker is a smooth folk album about "life." This is a fun CD. There are several influences that make up Dale's sound. You'll hear a little folk, country, blues and a bit of reggae as well. Dale's voice has a country twang to it, that is very effective on these tracks. His arrangements make sense and nicely complement his clever songwriting. The musicianship is strong throughout. Highlights are "Roeland," with a bit of that reggae vibe and fun lyrics. "No Money" is another fun one very reminiscent of "Stray Cat Strut." "Still Thinkin' About My Drinkin" is a live track and, as you can guess, takes a humorous look at alcoholism. If you like Willie Nelson, you'll enjoy this one. -William and the RadioIndy.com Reviewer TeamCheck out Dale Denker's music on RadioIndy.com with link to purchase and links to popular sites |
