Talented artist, Dane Riley, serves up some delectable Electronic Soul/Funk/R&B dance music on his recently released CD, “All About The Dance.” Riley is a one man show on this album as not only did he compose these songs but he also plays all instrumentations/sound effects and sings. The percussive beats on the song, “Discotheque,” swirl around the synth strings while Riley chimes in with a silky vocal tonality. “Techno Dance,” ignites with splashy drum beats as the synth plays a catchy riff that will have you grooving to the rocking beat. The smooth grooves on the song, “Shake It, Do It, Move It,” has a captivating charm as Riley sings his melodic lyrics with a cool velvety style. If you like fresh and original Electronic dance music that has all the right moves then you will like the well crafted songs on the album, “All About The Dance.”

Multi-talented artist Dane Riley and his latest album "Where Would I Be," is a collection of songs in which he writes/performs all of the music and lyrics while fusing the genres of R&B, Soul, Funk, and the Blues with a computerized sound that is well produced and has a dynamic balance. "I Like To Jam" is a groovy number that has great bass and guitar interplay and that is so catchy it might make you want to get up and dance. "Mixin It Up" is a quicker moving song in which we really hear the influence of Funk as Riley shows us some of his talented and pleasantly-effected, guitar playing. "The Bright Side" is a song with a little bit more of a modern flare as it employs a great urban/R&B rhythm. This is an album in which we hear Dane Riley dive into his synthesizer and electric instruments to give us a compilation of songs that subtly blends numerous genres into a danceable product. If you are a fan of Prince then you would enjoy the compositions on the CD “Where Would I Be" by Dane Riley.

Multi-talented solo artist, Dane Riley, has released a new and exciting album titled “The Return Of Funk.” Not only does Riley perform on this album, but he also produced, arranged, and composed the entire album. The hours of production time have really paid off with well-balanced vocals and instrumentations. Hints of the musical styles of Prince can be heard on such tracks as “What’s My Name?” and “I Came To Party.” Riley’s lead vocals on the title track “The Return Of Funk” really shine, but he does a great job with the background harmonies as well. Groove to the steady beats of the drums and subtle strings while listening to the slow and moving R&B tune “Meant 2 Be.” If you’re in the mood for a little R&B or funk then Dane Riley’s “The Return Of Funk” is a must-have addition to your CD collection.

"Love, Life & Soul" by Dane Riley is a funk, R&B album with a smooth and silky style. The songs are all upbeat and very danceable. The vocals are intimate with tremendous sex appeal. The style and quality of Dane's voice is very reminiscent of Prince. There is a delicacy about this classic 80's sound. Lots of classic synths. Overall it's a fun dance, party album. Highlights are "Together" with a soulful vocal performance, quirky arrangement and a thick beat. "I Am The DJ" features some cool rhythms and styles. "Lift You Up" is super funkified with a grooving bass line. If you enjoy Prince, give this excellent CD a listen. -William and the RadioIndy.com Reviewer TeamCheck out Dane Riley's music on RadioIndy.com with link to purchase and links to popular sites |
