Drew Pizzulo is an American born singer/songwriter who began writing songs at the age of 8 years old in the genres of Alternative, Blues, Country, Easy Listening, Jazz, Holiday, Pop, Religious, Rock, R&B and Techno. In college Drew added to his resume by joining "MDP", a short lived but popular cover song band at Hofstra University for two years of "Battle of the Bands". In addition, Pizzulo also made musical guest appearances on the popular Hofstra TV comedy show "TNL". The show helped to create his first music video “Dancing Alone”, which would later become a YouTube fan favorite.
As a solo artist, by the end of 2017 Pizzulo will have released 15 internatiional albums of original material. His Internet chart success includes well over a dozen #1 hits, along with several other Top 10 singles on Betarecords.com, Pittradio.com and Radioindy.com.
A former season 6 American Idol contestant, Drew has given hundreds of live performances of both original and cover material in the USA and international cruise lines. Since Pizzulo does not play an instrument, he chose to work with talented professional studio musicians Anderson Barbosa, Rick Barclay, Ed Kamenitzer & Donnie Klang in creating background arrangements for his original solo work.

Drew Pizzulo- A Moment Can Change Everything
By Heather Savage // Music // Rating: 7 of 10 stars
Have ever wondered how talented some of the American Idol contestants were that didn’t make it to Hollywood? I understand it can be challenging for an American Idol Judge to make a quick decision within 30 seconds. New Jersey based artist/model Drew Pizzulo is a Season 6 contestant that didn’t make the grade, but since that time has given hundreds of live performances of both original and cover material in the USA and international cruise lines. As a solo artist, Pizzulo has released 10 international albums of original material. His Internet chart success includes well over a dozen #1 hits, along with several other Top 10 singles and he has been writing music since the age of 8.It’s truly amazing what Pizzulo has done over the years and on his latest release entitled “A Moment Can Change Everything”. I’ve never had an artist suck me in quite like this one did – refusing to let go and calling me back after it was complete. The music just flows like a river via an invigorating vocal front and an addictive pop, rock driven vibe that is comparable to a modern-day Barry Manilow or even Babyface. There is also an undeniable Jazz-Pop quality to this CD as well that is painfully simple yet brilliantly crafted. The CD works its magic when you just let go and roll with the melodies. You never know what’s around the next corner as the CD touches a wide range of emotions. The music not so commercially viable due to the overall sound quality, but amazing witty and clever nonetheless. What I like most about the CD is Pizzulo’s’X-Factor. When he sings he has it – a undeniable passion play quality that will have many females sitting on the edge of their I-Pods. Oh did I mention Pizzulo is a professional model? Not every square inch is filled with a mundane vocal delivery under duress – but space that allows the CD to just breathe. Did I mention Pizzulo is a professional model? Criticism: The overall sound quality is a bit fuzzy and somewhat foggy. The songs are amazing but the overall clarity of the catalogue has a lot to be desired. It simply doesn’t stack up when compared to other professional grade releases out there right now. Favorite Track: Title track and ‘Dancing Alone” “A Moment Can Change Everything” by Drew Pizzulo is an endearing album limited by nothing. It is painfully simple but brilliant in its delivery. I would imagine as time goes by we will hear more from this powerful artist from New Jersey. It’s a true statement that every now and then even American Idol can get it wrong. Rating: 7 of 10 stars CD can be purchased @ CD UNIVERSE http://www.cduniverse.com/productinfo.asp?pid=8718083

Drew Pizzulo releases his latest CD, “The Definitive Collection,” comprised of his most requested easy listening hits. This collection of relaxed songs is a beautiful blend of love songs, Christian inspirations, and shows the diversity this singer has to offer. Pizzulo’s vocals gracefully project thoughtful lyrics which are accompanied by a solid support of quality musicians. His sweet and soothing voice caresses around the soft and expressive piano as heard on “Dancing Alone” and “Am I?” The spiritual lyrics of “He’s My God” will seep warmly into your soul. Flavored with a touch of R&B, “Nothing More to Say” moves with a slow, steady groove. Fans of Barry Manilow or John Denver will want to take a listen to the charming vocals of Drew Pizzulo and his wonderful album, “The Definitive Collection,” as it is a touching and tender array of memorable music.

![]() “Mainstream” marks the twenty-second Christian adult contemporary release from singer/songwriter and former American Idol contestant Drew Pizzulo. Pizzulo brings his smooth soulful vocals to each song while the arrangements dabble in a variety of genres, including rock, easy listening, r&b, hip-hop, jazz and electronica. Seasoned musicians Anderson Barbosa, Rick Barclay, and Donnie Klang lent Pizzulo a hand in recording the arrangements and fully realizing the sound he had dreamt up for each track. As one might suspect, “Mainstream” is filled with poppy songs with catchy lyrics about love, faith, and dreaming. All of Pizzulo's recordings have been self-released, and “Mainstream” is no exception; with that being said, it sounds great and clean. “Sleep Together” is an electronica track literally about the girl of Pizzulo's dreams with an attention-grabbing opening and a great beat throughout. “Catch-22” is befitting for Pizzulo's twenty-second release and is a great jazzy piano track about not being in love. Fans of soulful adult contemporary vocals and backing arrangements that span a variety of genres, check out Drew Pizzulo. -Chris & the RadioIndy.com Review TeamCheck out Drew Pizzulo's music on RadioIndy.com with link to purchase and links to popular sites |
