JETA GROVE from New Jersey Central

Artist History

NJ rock band that delivers crunching guitars, booming basses, thunderous drums and emotional vocals along with the occasional piano layered together to invoke a familiar, enjoyable sound on the first listen.

Jeta Grove, a rock quartet based out of Central NJ, has been stirring up the music scene for the past few years – and rightfully so.  The band creates songs with vast emotional depth using a mixed palette of sounds as well as subjects.  Their new EP, “Faint Young Sun Paradox,” contains fan favorites such as “Razorblades and Bandaids” – a friend’s desperate attempt to save a life, “Get Out” for those days where independence and an extreme desire to be left alone are at the forefront of our lives, and “One of These Days,” a claim to confidence and self-esteem.  The CD is set to be released on July 4, 2008 after the fireworks at a near and dear venue – Joey Harrison’s Surf Club in Ortley Beach, NJ.  The band has already achieved local notoriety.  They now seek to take their music to the next level – and stage – hopefully, in a venue near you!

RadioIndy is pleased to present JETA GROVE with a GrIndie Award for the CD "Faint Young Sun Paradox"

"Faint Young Sun Paradox" by Jeta Grove is a New Jersey based hard rock band that prides itself on it's huge sound courtesy of crunchy guitars and a booming rhythm section. The first thing you notice is that they sound great. The album was recorded, mixed and mastered to perfection. It really pays tribute to the bands meticulous sound and unique arrangements. The guitar harmonies are the other great aspect to the sound, as they are layered very well. If that is not enough, the band is very tight and the lead vocalist has a great rock voice. Highlights are the opener "Skywarped", with it's fantastic and eerily delightful guitar progressions and overall haunting sound. "Revolution" features a driving guitar riff, a passionate vocal performance and great vocal harmony in the chorus. "One Of These Day" wraps things up with an ominous piano line, and evolves into a rocker of epic proportions. If you are a fan of progressive bands with a huge sound, check these guys out.-Ross
