IMA Nominee and Golden Flame Award Winner John Redmon (A.K.A. JRED)'s highly-anticipated junior solo project release entitled S’Agapo (pronounced: sag-app-oh, which is Greek for I love you).
Some of the best music industry producers and musicians were assembled together to bring S’Agapo to life and to make an indelible
mark in not just the music industry but most importantly in the hearts of the listeners, both young and old.
Producers include: multiple Grammy nominee, Jeremias Tamarez (Prince Royce, CFNV, Douglas Fuentes, Sarah Sofia), Frank Azzaro III (Kanye West, Will.I.AM, Whitney Houston, Paul Wall, Petey Pablo, Da Clay), Jason “Base Jase” Williams (Black Pegasus, Red Monkeys, Liquid Assassin).
The first single release from the project, "Can’t Breathe (Dance Mix)" featuring AJANI, is already sweating up the dance floors and burning up the dance charts around the world!! Other tracks include the menacing and unforgiving "Leave Me Alone", the Sesame Streetesque "Ten", the Vickie Winans cover and urban wedding song of 2012 "Til I Found You" (a duet with Yolanda Marant), and the dramatic R&B tune that cries whether you stay or go, I will be "Alright" (featuring Da Clay).
When asked about the project name and song choices, JRED explains:
“For several years now, I’ve been overwhelmed and inundated with movies, songs and stories of my friends, family, acquaintances and even myself looking for love, falling in and out of love, breakups, divorces, lusting, tolerance, abusive relationships, reconciliation, infidelity, and all these aspects of ‘love’. I felt it was time to to add my two cents in a somewhat palatable, lyrical format on the subject matter. And why did I choose one of the Greek words for love for the album title? I was actually inspired to choose S’Agapo for the album title when I was reading I Corinthians 13 one morning. Uh oh. There goes my ‘street cred’. LOL”
Brace yourself, buckle up and gear up. For S’Agapo is a thematic, emotional roller-coaster ride that breaks genre barriers, leaving your heart throbbing and demanding encore!
