Myrah..s journey started in the early 2005 in north of Sweden with the passion for metal and interest in solving the world problems. The first years of activity were essential for the band to evolve technically and refine its own musical style. Every member had slightly different music tastes, which resulted in a different perspective of gothic metal. During these first stages of the band, one single, one music video and a Mcd were released and presented to the Swedish metal scene and dozens of gigs were performed throughout Sweden. With some line-up changes Tobias Lepistö (Lead Guitar) 2006 and Joakim Granvold (Drums) 2007 Myrah released their second Mcd “Death & Despair” and their music has developed to a much more darker and heavier sound then before, but still with a melodic touch. And now everything was about to change. In the year that followed, Myrah reemerged with full force, and also new musical ideas, and started to compose new songs, with strong lyrics, outstanding riffs and a new and heavier sound. without forgetting their roots in gothic metal. In 2009 Myrah recorded their first full-length album “Six Feet Down”, the result of two years of maturation of their songs. It was recorded, mixed and mastered in Empire Studio Frösön Sweden by Markus Edwardsson (Sanctification, Souldrainer). A few special studio guests also made contributions that enriched the album. On guest song Alexandra Petersson and Pierre Ranjeet Andersson. The album art is made by Axel Torvenius who also made the earlier art work. The final result was really beyond the initial expectations of the band. In many ways “Six Feet Down” truly represents fifteen years of accumulated experience and ideas, and it shows a totally new perspective of Goth/Rock/Metal. So in January 2010 the album titled "Six Feet Down” was finally released in their own company “Myrah Production“ and it has been well received by critics and fans, and considered a very promising album. Myrah played at Metalcamp Festival in Slovenia, Rock Weekend Festival in Sweden, Storsjöyran Festival in Sweden just to mention a few and delivering a distinct sound and attitude to the crowd, and receiving continuously great feedback. So with “Six Feet Down” Myrah finally is starting to draw the attention of the international metal landscape and ultimately receiving an invitation to play at Metalcamp Festival in Slovenia 2010, an amazing success, a giant leap for the band, and the perfect charge into Europe! Myrah is now entering 2010 with a deep determination: to work harder than ever, dedicating more time to the band, acquiring better gear, improving their own musicianship, recording more heavier songs and continuing playing inside and outside of Sweden. And like our fans is saying: Myrah is playing genial music and have a unique and heavy sound, their sound today is dark and emotional with wonderful melodies that really stick into your head. You can hear influences from Sentenced, Amorphis, Insomnium, Paradise Lost, Iron Maiden and many others. So with these words we ending this biography and we will see you out there in the world of metal because we would love to play just for you! See you out there... Horns Up!

The Swedish hardcore Metal/Punk group Myrah and their recent album, "Six Feet Down," is a collection of hard hitting songs with an overall hefty and dense sound that also contains subtle expressive dynamics. "The Cold" is a fierce number with an intense double-bass drum holding the beat as escalating guitars wail, yet the lyrics remain comprehensible and somewhat reserved. The title track, "Six Feet Down," is an impressive number that begins with a strong and solid vocalist and accompanying piano before climaxing into a thumping rock song with string highlights and bellowing guitars. "Oceans of Time" is a number that contemplates some of life's darker issues in a song that is both unhurried yet aggressive while the instruments give way to the mysterious tonality. This is an album in which true hardcore Metal/Punk music is being played, yet with more introspective and perceptible messages and lyrics. Fans of Iron Maiden and older Metallica would do themselves a favor by listening to Myrah's "Six Feet Down."
