UPDATE: Rob E C's  New album "Breakout" is now on itunes and cdbaby!

Physical copies of the cd will be available for purchase in Feb. 2010. Dynamic! Dark. Edgy. Influenced by Depeche Mode, New Order, Camouflage, etc.  These are just a few of the words being used to describe Los Angeles electo-pop/dance recording artist, songwriter, and producer Rob E C. He released two albums of original material and a remix album in 2006; “The Voices Inside” and “Deliverance” on his own and is about to release a new album full of infectious electro-pop dance songs in Nov. 2009.. This promises to be a breakthrough year for the former Connecticut dee-jay. “The Voices Inside” features two versions of the hit single “Right Here Waiting” which hit #3 on the Billboard Breakout Chart. It also includes the original version of “Heaven”, his second single which was heavily played at Abercrombie and Fitch stores and satellite dance radio stations throughout the country. The album also has outstanding pop songs like “Give It Up”, featuring rap vocals by rapper Knotty, “Her Way”, and the heart-tugging ballad “Never Leave You Again,” which reached #6 on the American Idol.com underground pop chart. The second album, Deliverance, is more dance oriented and high energy and is a must have album for dance music lovers. Outstanding tracks include the video version of his previous single “Heaven” and an incredibly powerful ballad “Wishing You Were Here,” which can be heard in the Miramax feature film “Adventureland” starring Kristen Stewart. There is also a video for the song on youtube.com. Other outstanding tracks include “Listen To Your Heart,” of which there are several great remixes, “You Can Try” and the very personal “Save Myself”. Originally from Connecticut, Rob began studying piano and writing songs at the age of ten. He later attended SUNY Purchase College in New York and was enrolled in their acclaimed music studio composition program. After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in music composition he relocated to Los Angeles in 1997 and formed a mobile deejay company called “Uptown Sounds” and spun music at various events like weddings, birthdays, and private parties. Not content with just deejaying, he started working on songs for his first two albums with supremely talented producer Phillie G. When the first two albums were completed, he contacted some of Europe’s talented crop of up and coming producers and deejays to do club remixes for the third album “The Remixes”. In September 2006 all three albums were made available on I-tunes, cdbaby.com and all other online digital stores. Video info: There is a video for “Contemplate” from the new album "Breakout" which can be see on websites such as youtube.com. As of Jan. 1st, 2010, The new album "Breakout" is now available to download or buy on I-tunes, cdbaby.com, etc. Recently his song “Wishing You Were Here” (Hearts Collide) from the album Deliverance can be heard in the feature film “Adventureland” starring Kristen Stewart. There is also a video for the track on youtube.com, myspace.com, etc. On Oct. 19th, 2009 at the request of 2009 Grammy nominated producer Arnold G, Rob E C performed at the “Hand In Hand” fundraiser at Rage Nightclub in West Hollywood, CA to raise money for the devastation in the Philippines caused by a typhoon that killed over 700 people.   "Breakout" Reviewed by RadioIndy.com!

“Breakout” the latest released CD from the talented artist Rob E C, is overflowing with upbeat and danceable electronic pop music. You’ll be hooked right from the start as the first track, “Sea of Love” is infused with vocals that ring with strong and solid clarity while the synth hits adds the finishing touches. The industrial pulses on “Since You’ve Gone” invigorates while the silky vocals lure the listener to the melodic lyrics. Another distinctive treasure is the outstanding rendition of “Right Here Waiting” originally recorded by Richard Marx. The tempo takes a faster spin as the drums engage a brighter tempo while the synth sounds employ the melodic riff of the chorus. First rate production as the sound quality is nicely balanced between the well sung vocals and synth instruments. Fans of Lady Ga Ga or Depeche Mode will thoroughly enjoy the pulsating and danceable music of “Breakout.”

POSTED BY: robcapp POSTED ON: 18 Jan 2010 04:28 PM
Hey Everyone. I have great news. Finally, my new album "Breakout" is now available on itunes, cdbaby.com and all major online stores. Physical copies of the cd will be available to buy in Feb. 2010. I think this album is going to be one of the best reviewed electronic pop albums of the year with songs like "Contemplate" (video is on youtube), Sea Of Love, Ride, Never Alone, Since You've Been Gone, etc and three incredible remixes by the soon to be world famous D.J. Amaya. After over two years of recording and constantly running out of money, I am very proud of the album and I'm looking forward to performing live around the U.S and Europe in 2010.

Review of "Deliverance" by Xavier P. for RadioIndy
POSTED BY: xavierpersad POSTED ON: 02 Jul 2007 02:39 PM
Rob E C’s “Deliverance” is an energetic electronica/dance album that is absolutely addictive! From its very first song to its closing notes, “Deliverance” takes listeners on an audio adventure marked by unprecedented energy and pure fun! Driven by unforgettable beats and melodies, every song on this CD will bring out the party-goer in anyone! Rob’s vocals are simply stunning- full of personality, and uncommonly passionate. “Equality” demonstrates the lyrical skill that graces the entire CD, even while diverging from the central theme of love and romance to bring attention to the ever-so relevant issue of injustice. Perhaps the most remarkable aspect of this CD is its unrivaled professional production, making it ready for the mainstream dance floor! “Deliverance” will compel fans of Richard Marx, Stevie B., and Jonny O. to get up on their feet and dance the night away!
