Based in Austin Texas, Steve grew up in the shadow of a hill called Bowman Ridge in Central Texas.  Born into a family of great story tellers he’s a singer/songwriter who loves to tell a good story.  Honest songs about the stuff of life: love and happiness; regret and heartache.  A country tinged mix of rock, Americana, folk & gospel.  Good people needing grace in their weakness.

Fortunate enough to grow up within earshot of some great radio stations (WBAP & KZEW out of Ft Worth/Dallas) that played everything from classic country to eclectic progressive rock, that and singing in his rural church Sundays shaped his musical sensibilities.

Steve says “When eight track tapes came out the first tape I bought was Merle Haggard, the second was Led Zeppelin.  My tastes haven’t changed much; I love pure, gritty, even homely country & Western but I can’t resist the strength and power of rock and blues and the emption of Gospel.”

That tension is reflected in the sound of his debut album “Flesh & Bone”.
