Artist History
The Molli Paige Band: began to form in 1997, when Andy Hunt and Molli Paige put together an acoustic duo, playing smaller venues in the Tacoma/Seattle area. Realizing the mix of talent was a good match, they saw the potential for growth and added bassist, Jeff Whitney and drummer, Aaron Matthieson and back up singer Kelly Power in 1999 & 2000. After recording a 6-song-epcd called 'Get A Taste, And Want More...' Andy and Molli relocated to Portland, Oregon. They went back to acoustic duo, again playing the acoustic venues in the local area. In 2005 they connected with bassist, Corrin Rosasco and drummer, Rhonda Piasecki...and together they've blended a compilation of melodic indie/pop/rock mixed with an occasional funky/bluesy sound, dipping into sub-genres that are emotional and relational.
Molli: Her first effort at writing lyrics to a song was in the summer of 1984. It was only a glimpse at the talents hidden within. However, it was as early as the age of four, that she began experimenting with her vocal styles. She always seemed to capture the spotlight in one way or another. Born and raised in Germany, at just seventeen she made a two month trip from Kaiserslautern, Germany to America. That trip turned into an extended stay--she settled in Tacoma, Washington and built a life of her own. And finally in 1992 Molli entered into the music world in America and started writing lyrics to songs unwritten, opening the door to her impressions of life.
Andy: He wrote and performed his first song less than a year after teaching himself to play a $50 acoustic guitar he bought at a Portland pawn shop in 1981. A year later he got a cheap electric guitar at a swap meet and joined his first band; a quirky new-wave bar-band called The Albeenoz in Lakeland, Florida. Then, during the summer of 1983, he toured for 6 weeks across the U.S. and Western Europe with The Continental Singers as the rhythm guitarist in the orchestra.
Corrin: Known as a groovy and solid bass player, was first introduced to Rock ‘n’ Roll at the young age of five. From the moment she heard ‘I Feel Fine’, Corrin knew she wanted to be included in the Rock ‘n’ Roll scene. Later in life...while in Reno, Nevada she played with the band Power Glide, which subsequently opened for Tower of Power at one of their Reno appearances. Another notable band, later in Corrin’s musical journey was the all female band named Best Kept Secret. They gained local recognition, playing consistently within the greater Reno area. After relocating to Portland, Oregon Corrin played with Love Nancy Sugar, which gave her a chance to explore the ‘original song’ avenue on a deeper level.
Rhonda: As a seasoned drummer, she has played in numerous bands throughout the years. While based in Los Angeles, she played with Event Horizon and Angelica, just to name a few. She always brings her unique sound and approach to the rhythm section. Bound to surpass the one-style drummers, Rhonda has the sensitivity, maturity and professional experience to play what best fits the music, no matter what the style. She is considered to be a real “song writer’s drummer”, because Rhonda always seems to have the right touch for each individual song. In addition to providing the backbeat, Rhonda is able to enhance any song with her vocal talents by adding backing vocals and harmonies.
