History:

Enrique Justiniano and Martin Winslow met each other in 1993 and they both had a special interest in each others work from the beginning. 2 years after in 1995 they founded a experimental band together. The band broke up in 1999. Enrique and Martin continued experimenting with different projects. Beside working with Enrique, Martin also started playing with a rock band. The lead singer of the band was Magnus Thomson. Although the band had a lot of jobs and was fun working with Magnus Thomson wanted something else. Something less mainstream and more progressive. Enrique and Martin who were working with a project called “Spanish Connection” at the time also felt they were stock in the music. One night the three of them got together and agreed to start something new up. They began their search for a drummer and a bass player. Soren Andersen had played in a few local rock bands in Copenhagen. Magnus Thomson gave him a call in June 2009 and Soren agreed to meet us for a session. The session was unlike many others a success. Max Zondenberg Played in a metal band at the time Martin contacted him first. They wrote a lot back an forward over the internet before Max finally agreed to give it a try.

Foundation:

The band was founded in august 2009. With Magnus Thomson´s raw and aggressive voice, Enrique Justiniano unique style on the metal-guitar, Soren Andersen´s rock-based drums, Martin Winslow´s weird mixture of genre´s and sounds and Max Zondenberg´s pumping deep bass the band was set to create an entirely new sound together. The Variation in the music and band also made the band come up with the name “VariaH” as a deviation of Variation. The band it self see´s their music as melodic, symphonic,classical metal/rock.

First Concert:

It did not take VariaH long to put their ideas together. Compositions like “Breed Your Misery” and Cast The Spell” was among the first to be made. The band had only played together for about six month´s and hardly had a full show ready when they were offered their first gig. VariaH´s first concert was held at “Rust” in Copenhagen on the 2. of February 2010.

First Album:

VariaH went to the studio to record their first album in 2010. The name of the album is “Betrayfull Sins”. It contains 11 tracks and were recorded in just 7 days at the “MediaSound Studio” in Copenhagen. The CD was released in  the summer of 2011.
