Artist History
Singer/Songwriter Jon Rajewski is an eighteen-year-old Michigan native. Accompanied by his acoustic guitar, he combines his ability to compose simple yet melodic riffs with flowing lyrics creating a unique blend of folk, rock, roots and jazz capturing fans with soothing vocals and a sound that is mature beyond his years. Rajewski, while maintaining his unique flavor, has been influenced by artists such as Guster, Matt Nathanson, Ry Cooder and Dave Matthews Band.Rajewski's debut CD release Scotch Tape Lies is a mix of great guitar chops and thoughtful lyrics that many listeners can relate with. Recorded throughout the summer of 2004, Scotch Tape Lies includes prevalent djembe, saxophone, piano and violin, helping to meld the project into a catchy, toe-tapping album.
Rajewski, who is still in high school, tours coffee houses, clubs, bars, theaters and schools all across Michigan in support of his debut album. Joined by his djembe player and friend Ankit Mehta, Jon continuously entertains audience's statewide.
