The first word that comes to mind after checking out Heather Sullivan's "Mermaid To Butterfly" CD is WOW! This is a masterful CD, with exceptional songwriting and musicianship. The CD is filled with meaningful adult rock/pop songs that feature Heather's soft and pure yet powerful voice in a crisp, lush recording. "Different" is an especially powerful track with an interesting string intro which takes the listener into a strong acoustic rhythm section groove that builds into a hook-filled. melodic chorus. "Deepest Part" has an interesting whispering vocal line backed by a neat snare drum-based groove that builds into a falsetto chorus.
