This youthful musicians life has always been intertwined with the mystery that lies behind music. Music has brought bittersweet struggles, passionate performances, and whimsical successes to Delaneys life. It all started in kindergarten, when there was a classroom performance of Noah and the Ark. Delaney, the child with the best memory, was cast as a solo performer in the production singing the song "Don't put off until tomorrow!" a theme that has stuck with her ever since. She reveled in the spotlight and it turned out that not only did she have a brilliant memory, she simply loved to sing. Her inspiration to create her music is simply the music itself. Imagining doing something else is virtually impossible and with that kind of drive and dedication who could doubt that her songs come from the heart - the heart of an amazingly talented woman. Music can have an effect on people in many different ways, enhance many different situations, and alter many different moods. Its an active part of ones daily life - the soundtrack to our actions. Delaney understands this and it shines throughout her albums. Delaney has hopes of reaching people to the extent that they can put on a certain song from her album and have their mood changed. Music is a way of understanding problems. Its a melodic text and poetry that Delaney has mastered. Not only has Delaney earned the respect of fellow musicians, but the press has described the budding singer/songwriter as an undiscovered brilliant vocalist as recorded in the Ventura Country Reporter. She has been deservingly honored by sharing the stage with many well-known artists including: Barbara Streisand, Barry Manilow, Andrea Bocelli, and Russell Watson. Even though her list of accomplishments is long and astonishingly impressive, Delaney never ceases to amaze and has starred on the Fox show Boston Public as a singer and dancer and MTVs My Own remaking Natasha Bedingfields track, These Words. Delaneys EP, Cruel and Beautiful, is a collection of beautifully charming songs that were produced by Michael Rapheal. Delaney is truly a gifted musician with enough originality in her songs and sound to set her apart from the glutted music scene. Her sultry voice allows the listener to become actively engaged in songs of independence, love, and breakups, transporting the audience to a world of sincerity and beauty.
