Biography
A 3 time finalist in the Alice Coopers Christmas Pudding  concert contest,2004-6  having 2 songs advance into the next round of judging in the 2006 International Songwriting Competition , and  a WINNER in the WE CALL THIS MUSIC FAB " competition,{  aCD compilation contest  whose winning artists sound like the Beatles or strongly echo their sound and style}... Sage is coming on strong in 2007 as a musical force to be reckoned with.

 Sage Has  opened  for such stellar acts as Jason Mraz, Shooter Jennings { with Stargunn}  Quiet Riot , Fishbone , Tristan Prettyman , Kris Delmhorst and Mark Erelli, and shared  bills with the likes of Andy Summers, {Police} Lila Downs, and Bernie Leadon { Eagles} and many many others.

Sage began his career opening for such artists as Janis Joplin { with Big Brother and the Holding Co}. , Moby Grape, Quicksilver Messenger Service, and the original Buffalo Springfield , as a drummer in a local San Francisco rock band in 1966 at the famed Avalon Ballroom.
40 years later  he's still gigging non stop- as a guitarist / Singer/ Songwriter with something to say.

Currently he lives with his girlfriend Linda in Mesa Az and teaches guitar and  drumming to grade school kids  part time at a local charter school and gigs  solo at night throughout the valley at venues such as ALICE COOPERSTOWN in downtown Phx and   the national act club -CAVE CREEK COFFEE CO. in Cave Creek Az and the famed Yucca Tap Room in Tempe Az among many others
Sage has written hundreds of songs and none of them are filler.
His new CD " Roadside Revelations" has just been released on CDBABY.com  and boasts a "Full band " arrangement of his songs.It has been fully recorded by local icon Terry Garvin, and  has been mastered and packaged through OASIS. The advance copies  direct from the studio  { sans artwork}have already sold out 4 times in 4 months at his local solo shows , sales being influenced entirely from live performance.
The sound of Sage's acoustic and electric guitars  ring true to his live solo performances  as do the vocals.
This album will take you back to  a time when songwriting was about CRAFT and not just "sounds in a machine". It will also remind you of the early Beatles if you are old enough to remember the 60's as they really were.

Sage is also hard at work putting together a quartet based on the new CD's songs and much more drawing from forty years  of playing in a vast array musical circumstances.
Recently  a 'LIVE" version of his song ' Song For Beatrice" was  included on a new locally produced CD compilation " Live at Rula Bula Open Mic" - the premiere showcase for valley talent in Tempe Az.
