"The New Brew" by the exceptionally talented Mozely Rose is a refreshingly pleasant funk rock album. One advantage that this CD boasts over most is its mass appeal. Bringing elements of country, blues, funk, and rock to the table, "The New Brew" reaches out to quite a broad audience. "Never Opened my Eyes," an emotion-invoking ballad, is characteristic of every song on this album in that it is defined by strong, passionate vocals and meaningful lyrics. Also noteworthy is this band's skillful arrangements, keeping the listener pleasantly surprised and adding the uncommon element of spontaneity. Furthermore, the exceptional audio quality and production of "The New Brew" puts this album on the top of the list of must-haves.
