Phil has written four award-winning plays, Crappie Talk, A Nice Family Gathering, Don't Hug Me and A Don't Hug Me Christmas Carol. All four plays have been produced in several cities to critical acclaim. His musical comedy, Don't Hug Me, won 4 Artistic Director Achievement Awards in Los Angeles in 2004 including Best Original Musical and Best Author Original Play. Don't Hug Me was the longest running musical in Los Angeles when it closed after 6 smash hit months. Don't Hug Me has played in over 50 cities around the U.S. and Canada. It was also produced at St. Mary's University of Minnesota as part of the National Playwright Contest, and at the Norsk Hostfest in Minot, North Dakota. Crappie Talk is published by Eldridge. www.koldradio.com Phil's one-acts, The Security Guard, The Folksinger, Girls Night Out, The Forest Ranger, The Tour Guide, and Todd and Becky, have been produced in Los Angeles and in New York, and are also published. As a script doctor, Phil has re-written 3 screenplays that were produced. Phil has sold two screenplays, he wrote for an Entertainment Tonight-type television series that aired in Europe and wrote for a television pilot that was picked up by E! Television. He's also written 11 spec screenplays. Phil wrote, produced, and directed a short film titled, The Al Oerter Comeback, starring Al Oerter, the only four-time Olympic Gold Medal Discus Champion.
