Touch the Sky Productions ltd was founded in 2006, when Aaron's previous producer was no longer able to continue. Aaron and the Colorado Wolf and Wildlife Center, as a means to increase funds for the center and enable Aaron to get his music to the public, originally released the Kindred Spirits CD locally as a joint venture. Many people had asked for recordings after hearing Aaron's music at Wolf Center functions, local parades and events in Cripple Creek and Victor, and performances in the Colorado Springs area. Aaron Lawrence & his wife Teri decided to scrounge the funds together to build a small recording studio and from this, Touch the Sky Productions ltd was born.
Even though Touch the Sky Productions ltd is not directly affiliated with the Colorado Wolf & Wildlife Center, Aaron & Teri feel that the Center is a good and necessary organization, and continue to support the center by donating time and a portion of the proceeds from Aaron's music and performances to them.
Aaron's music flows from his soul. His music is founded in the Native American tradition, while adding a personalized western "mountain" sound that he refers to as "Native Aaron". The inspiration for Aaron's music comes from the mountains where he lives, his affinity with the wolves at the Colorado Wolf & Wildlife Center and all wild things, and his deep affection for his wife Teri and daughters Ivy, Jill, and Katy.
The remastering and re-release of Kindred Spirits was first on the agenda at the request of many people who were unable to get it the first time. With this done, Aaron is now working on another CD that is scheduled for release around Memorial Day 2008.

“Kindred Spirits” by Aaron Lawrence is a unique and intriguing approach to ambient/new age music. Gathering inspiration from the mystic creature known as the wolf, Aaron’s Native American compositions demonstrate a great talent for creating tunes that are pacifying and spiritual in nature. Appropriately mixed with sounds of nature (such as the sounds of waterfall in “Stream Song” and wolves crying in “Choir Practice”), these tunes carry about a new dimension of unrestricted life. When all is said and done, it is easy to see that this CD successfully connects with listeners on a deep spiritual level. -Xavier P. and RadioIndy.comCheck out Aaron Lawrence's music on RadioIndy.com with link to purchase and links to popular sites |
