Artist History
RubixQ's interest in music began at 5 years old in church with his parents playing drums and singing. His amazing talent has allowed him to create his own unique sound. As his sound developed he worked with Hung Jury and D Music. He moved on to create Flip the Scrip Records and later worked with Kwel MoDeep, developing a sound that is out of this world. The "Youth of Funk" beat will re-play in your mind long after you have finished listening to his music. Qwuazmore, his nemesis, represents the strength of this "youth of funk sound" that is so unique to MrRubixQ

"Hard" by Rubix Q is funk gangsta rap with a lighter side. It is full of fresh sounds with an "Old School" influence. Lots of classic synths, but done in a way that makes it feel new. There is definitely a heavy R&B influence present throughout the album that creates a nice flowing undertone. Rubix's delivery is slick, with a rough undertone and yet soulful at times. Highlights are "On Fire" with a solid beat, a little wackiness in the vocals and a funktastic bass line."I Wanna Hold You" is a spacey love song that will help turn up the heat in any room. "JB Soul" takes you back in time as Rubix gives you a little James Brown-esque vocals. If you like party music and G-funk, you'll enjoy this one.
