"Disco Cowboy" by Johnny D is a heck of a lot of fun, to say the least. This hybrid of country, disco and blues is on it's way to being a party favorite. Every song on this album has a tremendously energetic vibe. The grooves are thriving. The arrangements are creative and keep you on your toes. Most importantly, every aspect of this CD works well together - even the cheesy pet sounds! Bottom line is this - this album will get you up off the couch and moving to its grooves. Our favorites include the title track, "Disco Cowboy," a classic Disco track that includes every disco element in the book. "Night in the County Jail" is a soulful, bluesy ball of fun with an alley-cat-kind-of flair. Furthermore, "Sugar Daddy Shakedown" features some fun lyrics and a guest female vocalist. If you like party music, country, and blues, this CD is for you! -William and the RadioIndy.com Reviewer TeamCheck out Johnny D's music on RadioIndy.com with link to purchase and links to popular sites |
