Lyrics
On a hill stands a man with a flaming torch in his hand.
In the valley there are many people gathered ‘round like dead blades of grass.
Bend low, bend low, bow down to the flaming torch of God.
As He lays it down on the ground to light a spark in the heart of man.

This spark will start a fire and the wind will blow the flame
across these prairies and hills to burn again.
Each blade of grass that’s lifted will burn if in the way
of this fire He’s kindled some yesterday.

In your heart, in your soul - could you tell me friend, is it cold?
There’s a fire and it’s burning at the heart of God, who calls your name.
Bend low, bend low, bow down to the Spirit speaking to you now.
He has laid His Son in the ground for you and me - only to live again.

This spark will start a fire and the wind will blow the flame
across these prairies and hills to burn again.
Each human soul that’s lifted will burn If in the way
of this fire He’s kindled some yesterday.
Some yesterday, some yesterday.

Over these hills I can see the spark burning.
Over these hills I can hear the breeze blowing.
Over these hills I can smell the smoke rising.
Over these hills I can feel the flame; I can feel the flame.

This spark will start a fire and the wind will blow the flame
across these prairies and hills to burn again.
Each human soul that’s lifted will burn If in the way
of this fire He’s kindled some yesterday.
Some yesterday, some yesterday.
