Artist History
Window is the Door is an indie/acoustic project consisting of Jesse Knabb (Vocals, Guitar, Xylophone) and Scott Papp (Vocals, Guitar). This project is saturated with harmoniously rich vocals that weave in and out of the music's structure, and jangly acoustic strums that nod to the shoegazing guitar of the late 80's.

This self-titled album from Window is the Door is an impressive indie acoustic album with rich harmonies and melodic arrangements. The sound of the CD is lush and dreamy. Each song is an enjoyable journey as guitars and vocals very seamlessly intertwine with each other. There are some beautiful songs on this album. With that said, the album is very modern and edgy. The musicianship is excellent and the production value is very good. These songs will certainly mellow you out while they entertain your mind. Highlights are the opener "Resembling Words" with layer upon layer of vocal harmony and some quirky xylophone work. "Chimes" features some beautiful guitar work and shows off nice range in the vocals. "Manifest Waste" has a bit of a bluesy quality to it and is quite a nice arrangement. If you smooth, modern acoustic bands and big-name artists such as Death Cab for Cutie or Nickel Creek, you'll enjoy this outstanding CD. -William and the RadioIndy.com Reviewer TeamCheck out Window is the Door's music on RadioIndy.com with link to purchase and links to popular sites |
