This poem was written by Li Bai in 8th century China during the T'ang Dynasty. He was a poet in the royal court of the emperor for a period of time until there was some sort of "falling out" and he had to leave. I like the story being told in this poem and it struck me that it is basically a 1200 year old blues... |
