"We couldn't afford The Beatles' music, so we got the next best thing- Alan Bernhoft" -Marc Cushman, director & producer, "Desperately Seeking Paul McCartney"

"I was completely taken by surprise.
I’ve never heard anyone approach The Beatles essence (especially without actually outright doing one of their songs) and capturing it in spirit, sound, recording technique and vocally (even the drumming is uncanny) and literally doing them absolute justice. I have even seen some tribute bands (good ones too) that didn’t impress me as much as your originals, which come closer than actual Beatle songs themselves. Not only are the songs great but the production is excellent and very clever. This is the kind of music you can listen to many times and hear something different in the mixes every time. Finally! Something TRULY Beatlesque. I have many friends who are Beatles fanatics to this day and I will be sending them all your site. Okay. Enough boot polish! (Beatle boots that is!) keep up the good work."
-Frank X. Brittingham

Beatlesque One is a collection of Alan's MOST Beatles- like songs, including six titles from the feature film, "DESPERATELY SEEKING PAUL MCCARTNEY"
Alan wrote the words & music, sings, plays all the instruments and produced the recordings at his AIM Studios in Los Angeles.

"Beatlesque Three" Reviewed by RadioIndy.com!

Take a step back in time with the spectacular Rock/British Invasion CD, “Beatlesque Three,” by Alan Bernhoft. This is the third installment of a series of original, well crafted songs in which the Beatles might have released. Bernhoft does a magnificent job in replicating this style of music as you can hear perfect vocals and solid instrumentation. The opening song, “Sunny Sky,” is bright and cheery and instantly connects you with the era of the Beatles. Another song, “Everybody Smiles,” is truly remarkable as one would think of Ringo singing this lovely tune. “Colliding Circles,” is an easy feeling song that moves with a sweet style and grace. Bernhoft does an outstanding job on this album and once again proves he has captured this particular time and sound. If you are a fan of the Beatles and British Invasion Rock, then you will definitely want to hear the wonderful collection of songs on the amazing album, “Beatlesque Three.”

"Beatlesque Too" Reviewed by RadioIndy.com!

Alan Bernhoft more than accomplished his intended goal with his recent album, "Beatlesque Too." The British Invasion sound from the early sixties made popular by The Beatles is alive and well on this album. Bernhoft captures the twangy guitars, the easy flowing harmonies, and simple drum beats with ease. The bouncy song, “All of the Time” features a solid harmonica solo while vocals and harmonies are exceptional. The last track "Come On Baby" is an obvious call to "Twist and Shout," the popular Beatles cover. The average track is not long in length but these songs don’t lose the nostalgic throwback of this era. This album doesn't take liberties, risks, or get too adventurous as it simply produces quality song after quality song that could have come straight out of 1964. Fans of The Beatles don’t miss an opportunity to hear the excellent songs of "Beatlesque Too."

"Beatlesque One" by Alan Bernhoft (Classic Rock Artist from Los Angeles, California(CA))
POSTED BY: momof5pacs POSTED ON: 09 Feb 2009 07:11 PM

RadioIndy is pleased to present Alan Bernhoft with a GrIndie Award for the CD "Beatlesque One"

Alan Bernhoft has captured the style and feel of the legendary British pop band “The Beatles” with his appropriately titled album “Beatlesque One.” His approach is remarkably reminiscent of the early Beatles style while at the same time fresh and original, paying homage to the group but spinning the music is his own creative and unique way. He portrays the atmosphere of the 1960s immediately and effectively on this album with “Keep Your Hands Off My Baby,” a stunning opener that perfectly encapsulates the sound of the era that fused British pop with American rock-n-roll. The songs are well-written and skillfully produced, with clever arrangements and spirited musical performances. Listen to his stylish and accurate vocals on the lively and cheerful “Playdate,” and his almost eerie resemblance to the lighthearted side of Paul McCartney on “Sunshine Girl” and “Someday (’08 Mix).” Another highlight is “Winter Ocean Mary Go Round (’08 Mix),” which is symbolic of the style of John Lennon. Bernhoft’s introspective writing displays a truly uncanny resemblance to many aspects of The Beatles music, capturing their essence in both spirit and sound. Fans of The Monkees, The Beatles, and 60’s rock will find “Beatlesque One” incredibly appealing.
