Venitian blinds open wide

Sun shines in under a winter sky

The crackling of a fire, the soft look of your eyes

On a Velvet afternoon

Cats on the pillow, listen to the purr

Outside our window, its a cold and different world

Were we're safe and warm, with you in my arms

On this Velvet afternnon

    Hear the sax play something soft and kinda blue

    As the record spins us a dream or two

    I feel the caress of your finger on my skin

    I don't want this day to ever end

These blankets feel like cotton

Wrapped around us on the couch

We don't have a worry, so let's live for the now

Your lips feels like silk, makes my heart melt
