Elliot Matsu is an indie rock artist and producer on Firetone Records. He's out of NYC and has worked with some of the biggest and best names in the business. Elliot's style came from hard-rock roots, playing guitar and singing in bands back in his hometown of Chicago. His signature style has evolved over the years to include elements of folk-rock, adult-contemporary, pop and even a little electronica. His first record, "2nd Avenue," was an indie success, garnering lots of play on indie and internet stations and his single "Cry" hit number 30 on the small market AC charts. Look out for his new record, "The Value of Power," coming out in late February.

Elliot Matsu’s newly released album “The Value of Power” is packed with alternative rock/pop music. Matsu is a gifted musician who has a talent for writing thoughtful and sincere lyrics. His vocals are crisp and polished with a soft tonality. The album has a high-quality production, as there is a dynamic balance between the vocals and instruments. This album in general has an overall happy sort of feel about it. “Takin the Train” is an easy listening pleasure with pleasant bluesy guitar riffs fused with subtle keys. “Who Am I” has a piano driven intro and peaks out with guitar power chords on the chorus.
