Think Led Zeppelin meets Evanescence; Fat soulful guitars, powerhouse drummer, and a sexy female singer with a set of pipes and a vocal range that will blow you across the room. "Their songs creep up on you; seductive at first, then suddenly shifting into rhythmic overdrive and inevitably carrying you out on a wave of climactic guitar" (Michiganbands.com Sept. 2004). JIVA is now promoting their third record "Masquerade" a hard hitting rock album recorded old school on 2" analog with a more organic and retro sound. The focus for this album was performance and energy, not relying at all on computers, which helped to capture their live energy on to disc. With sounds ranging from the sweeping rythms, latin guitar, and inspired lyrics of "White Washed Heart", to the gritty, blow your wig back tracks like "The Fall" and "Far Beneath", this record has a little something for all music lovers. The singles "Far Beneath", "Heavens Too Late" and "Anyones Angel" have been featured on both rock radio stations in Detroit; (WRIF 101.1FM) and (89X 88.7FM), as well as on college radio. Additionally, JIVA's music is downloaded and sold to thousands of fans across the country and overseas with CD and digital download sales both in the US and Europe. JIVA has been featured and reviewed in countless music magazines and websites including Garageband.com(chosen by members as band of the week), Radioindy.com(Recieved gold artist award), TheMusicSyndicate.com, Unsigned Music Magazine, The Metro Times, Detroit News, GoAndDoMichigan.com, Sonicbids.com, and JonesSoda.com. With increasing record sales, TV/Film placement, and opening slots for national artists, JIVA continues the journey toward national success.
