Singing God's Praises In Song...

I first started sing about the age of 10 with our church group called the Shinning Lights. I than moved up to the young adult choir which i sang for about 3 years.
In 1979, on the way home God gave me the words to my first single,"I Can't Afford to Quit." I sung it at the church I attended and at a few other churches I went to. Everybody loved to hear me sing it and people often requested for me to sing it for him or her. My Pastor Bishop Clarence Barnes loved it so much that he made "I Can't Afford to Quit " the theme of our church about 23 years ago. I always wanted to get it copyrighted and published but just couldn't get it together until 2003. I was working in my brothers office when a patient by the name of Charles Moore Jr. came in and we started talking about music. I told him that it was my dream and mission to record "I Can't Afford to Quit. Mr. Moore told me that he had a studio and he would be glad to help put it together. On March 5, 2003, That very evening God Blessed me to complete the CD. I brought it home so my wife could hear it and it just took her breath away to hear the finished product. I now had recorded "I Can't Afford to Quit" and It was now available on CD and cassette. A DJ by the name of Deacon Arnold Waldon loved it and played in rotation on WJSS in my home town. He told me how he and others were blessed by the song.The CD is also being played on "Heaven 600" a popular local radio station in Baltimore MD. It is my mission to get the CD out so many others can be blessed by it as well. Also, part of the proceeds will go back to help others who are in crisis. This is a dual mission, you can get a CD that will uplift you and to help others as well. My second project is a CD called "God Wants You" and the last is a single entitled "God's Love" . This project has "I Can’t Afford to Quit". Track two is (God Wants You)which is a song to let young people know that you may be young and pretty but will you be ready when God comes for you? Track three lets you know that "Every Knock Is A Boost" . So we cannot look at being knocked down but how we can grow from the experience. Track Four is about making that promise you made to God good. "God is Waiting On You" Track five is done by my late Loving wife, Evangelist Mona Lisa Jackson. Her message to you is that nobody can do you like Jesus. "Nobody" is in Memory of my Loving wife the Late Mona Lisa Jackson. The song the Lord taught how to deal with her going away and how to meet her again some day.
