GENE STRANDQUIST

A mixture of sounds reminiscent of the Beatles and Bob Dylan, and a great hot country track.

debut album, Food To The Hungry.

classical music composer based in Calgary, Canada. This album
contains Beatle-esque and Dylan-esque tracks along with Latin and

Stampede chuckwagon races. It is a fast-paced, highly motivating tune
about a man's desire to be a contender in the greatest chuckwagon
race ever – the Rangeland Derby. It features the voice of JOE
CARBURY, legendary chuckwagon race announcer.

− Standing At My Father's Door: an upbeat, spiritual song about
getting old and accepting one's mortality.

− Food to the Hungry: a steamy little number about the symbiosis
which exists between a man, his desires, and a woman's
compromise in order to live life comfortably.

− Alida : A love song with a latin flavor

− I Wasn't Looking : Some good old country “twang” and delicious
lyrics

− Distant Sorrow: A haunting vocal and piano piece that will make
you cry

− Misery: A tale of drug and alcohol related dysfunction between a
man and his woman

The album was mastered by William Szawlowski, a holder of many
double-platinum , platinum and gold records.
