My name is Carmen Tosca. Both names are operas, and both are tragedies, (Carmen according to Wikipedia is a comical opera, but her lover murders her, definitely a tragic ending). What I really like about my name Carmen is that it means “Song”. And some references say “Song of joy”, which is even better for me. I love the fact that it became real in my life, although it took a long time. We all walk a path and mine changed when I acted upon my passions.
Since I can recall I have been drawing pictures, designing and inventing things and loved music and dancing. I guess what I’m trying to say here, is that although the operas and some parts of my life were tragic; I changed it into songs of joy through my art and music.
When I discovered that music is one of my purposes in life, I also learned that if it doesn’t influence anyone else’s life, it influences mine, because it is therapeutic. Yet, I am not doing it for myself, my dream is to touch people’s hearts and make a difference and I believe it can be done by something as simple as a song, or a movie, as that is how it happened with me.
My music genre could be classified as ambient, easy listening, new age or electronica - to me, it is really a variety and I find it difficult to describe. I do the songwriting, composing, performing, mixing and producing of each of my songs. My songs are not a repertoire therefore I don’t do gigs.
With my photography, I capture themes that are beautiful, in different aspects and subjects. My latest exhibition however, is a display of how people allow their hearts to be distorted, changed and abused by the world outside. Yet, people still find it beautiful enough to hang onto their walls, or perhaps it is just a reminder that we all suffer pain, but we can live beyond it.
I don’t have any degrees or formal training in arts, multimedia or music. I did have art as a subject at school and qualified as a student in an art school, which I went to for a while, and I had my piano lessons when I was very young. I have had some achievements with my photography through the media and I am just starting out with my public music career, so I cannot include a long list of awards or of how great I am.
All I know, is that I have worked hard, I love it, and I want to be able to express what I am made of, and through that, touch others who can relate and hopefully make a positive difference in their lives.

The relaxed and well orchestrated instrumental production of, “Wind” by Carmen Tosca, is comprised of wonderful contemporary/easy listening compilations. Tosca’s well written compositions mingle gracefully around various instruments creating a beautiful blend of songs with New Age style. Splendid sound textures abound on “New life” as the piano enters the score with crisp and clean clarity. The percussion moves with steady and solid support on “Emma” while the strings glide with sweet and melodic tonality. “Slow Motion” breathes with soft, subtle guitar while the rich strings add color to the melodic melody. The beautiful ballad, “Waves” embraces a gently rolling piano lead as the strings bring to life a soft and soothing vibe. If you’re looking for innovating and fresh, ideal mood music, then sit back and relax to the beautiful music of “Wind.”
