| Eric Stever | |
| Eric Stever has combined his influences to create a energetic, melodic and unique rock instrumental CD. ”11:11 Make A Wish” is Eric’s newest release as an indie artist. Born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Stever has been playing guitar for well over 30 years. As a guitarist, his interests and influences have been as diverse as his playing. He is a fan of all music and appreciates the dedication of all musicians to keep their own fire burning. Eric has taught guitar over the years and has been a part of many wonderful and successful bands in and around the Toronto area. In the mid-eighties Stever released a full length LP with his partner at the time, Rob Reed. The band was called “Steed,” and had commercial success with a #1 hit in Canada called “Devil on my Shoulder”. As all things do, the music business changed and Reed/Stever went different ways. In the 90’s Stever moved to Los Angeles and lived and worked in the vibrant music community. Hanging around with popular musicians and artist, Stever’s time in L.A. was an invaluable learning curve. He returned to Toronto and was the co-founder of the popular Toronto band ”The Cable Dogs” and has worked as a session musician for many projects and has been very active in writing and recording his own music for years. In early 2000 he built ”Elykdnacire Studios” and has been recording local artists and his own brand of instrumental rock ever since. He is an avid guitar collector with over 45 guitars with some rare gems dating back to the early 1900’s. With a touch of humor, that Stever sees in most everything, his style of playing combines a little touch of the Blues, mixed with a splash of Rock, a dash of Metal, and a pinch of Country and a whole lot of fingers flailing, Eric invites you to sit back, relax, and let his fingers do the talkin’. |
