Before you can add a video or background
music using Windows Media Player, you must first add the Windows Media
Player PowerToy on your Space.
To add this feature on your Space:
Log into Passport and Edit your Space.
In the Address bar of your web browser add the text “&powertoy=musicvideo”
to the end of the displayed URL.
Click the Go button next to your web browser address bar.
Once the page has finished reloading, click on the Customize tab in your
Space.
In the Modules drop down menu in the Customize tab there should be a
listing for PowerToy: Windows Media Player. Click the word Add next to
it and then click the Save button.
In adding a video or background music to your Space, you must look for
an uploaded video or music on other sites with file extensions such as
WMA, WMV, WAV, AVI, ASX, MPG, MPEG, MP3. Copy the link or URL from
the music genre below** you want then put the link on the URL bar of
your Windows Media Player PowerToy shown below.
Paste the URL or link of the song on the URL bar.
Indicate or fill the "Position in sec."; "Times to play"; "Rate to
play".
Check "Auto Start" to auotmatically play the song when your Space is
being access.
On the "Display Mode" choose "Invisible" to hide the WMP. Choose "Full"
or "Mini" to show your WMP.
Then click the Save button.
To view the video, click "Preview My Space".
**Once you get your
PowerToys Tools setup, use the following URL's to add the Genre of Music
You Want on your MSN Space:
