Manawi Thorn is a hard rock band formed in Brooklyn New York in late 2006.  The lineup was in flux until late 2007 with the addition of Josh as the energetic frontman.  

Song styles range from slow brooding horror movie soundtracks to spastic math experiments.  Live guitar sampling and fancy drumwork add depth and complexity to the sound.  Songwriting is a key element, and each song expands on themes and unfolds to a dramatic end.

With a new CD (Feed and Weep) under its belt, the band recently toured New England and is returning there in March.

Manawi Thorn has established itself in the New York and Philadelphia club scenes as well as at less orthodox venues such as rooftops and abandoned warehouses.
