New Music / CD Releases : Country -

"Out of This World" by Nicole Taylor (Country Artist from Bayville, New York (NY))

"Out of This World" is a CD that will WOW you! It is filled with impressive country pop tracks that highlight Nicole's beautiful voice. The musicianship, songwriting, and production are all top notch, providing a CD filled with memorable tracks that are indistinguishable in quality from a big-label CD. The WOW of this CD comes from Nicole's vocals: from the beautiful, soft vocals of "Deliver Me" and "Spoken Like a True Man," to the upbeat, soulful vocals of "Back Track" to the traditional country vocals of "If Men Could Talk." If you enjoy country pop music, or just sitting back and listening to a tremendous vocal talent, you will enjoy this CD. Pick up a copy today!

"Patsy's Country Collection" by Patsy McGlamry-Dean (Country Artist from Moultrie, Georgia (GA))

"Patsy's Country Collection" is an outstanding CD full of traditional country tracks. The band is very tight and impressive, and the recording quality and production are very professional. The tracks feature Patsy's very authentic country voice and harmonies, backed by memorable string fills and a tight rhythm section. "You're Gone" is one of our favorite tracks, with its melodic guitar intro, tasteful guitar and piano fills, and driving rhythm section. "Thunder" has a memorable "Rawhide" feel to it. If you enjoy traditional country female artists such as Patsy Cline, you'll enjoy this CD. "Wake Up America" by Helen Brown (Country Artist from West Virginia (VA))

The best way to describe "Wake Up America" is AUTHENTIC country. This is a heart-felt traditional country CD with Americana and patriotic influences. From the beautiful love songs "You Lose" and "Without You" to the patriotic "Wake Up America" to the foot-stomping "Walk Alone," this CD will keep your interest throughout. In fact, some of the deeper tracks, such as "He's a Good Ole Boy" are our favorites. Another one of our favorite tracks, "Country," features tasteful guitar countermelody riffs that contrast Helen's voice very nicely. The backing band is very tight and talented, and the production and recording quality are very professional. If you enjoy traditional country music that is real and comes from the heart, you'll enjoy this CD. Pick up a copy today! - Review by RadioIndy staff

"Country Soul" by Curtis Clay (Country/R&B Artist from Texas (TX))

"Country Soul" is a powerful collection of songs that cross a number of genres, including country, R&B, and pop. In crossing several genres while highlighting Curtis' strong vocals, the CD underscores one of the advantages of making a CD without the constraints of a big recording label. Curtis' memorable vocals remind us of Lionel Richie, although most of the songs are of a more country style. The solid songwriting provides hook-filled choruses and counter-melodies. The lyrics are well thought out, reflecting on life and love. If you enjoy hearing a talented vocalist sing powerful country, pop, or R&D songs, you will enjoy this CD. Pick up a copy today!

"Between Clark and Nashville" by Graham Clark (Country Rock Artist from Derby, UK)

"Between Clark and Nashville" is the latest country rock CD by Graham Clark. Clark, who hails from the UK, truly shines in this traditionally American-dominated genre. Most notable is the outstanding mix of this CD which brings out the topnotch performances of each musician in the band. Everything about this recording is well done and shows off Graham's well honed songwriting skills. The lyrics are simple and catchy and are set perfectly in a mix of guitars, banjo, bass, and piano! This CD features a variety of tempos and styles, but our favorite track is the tender ballad "Promise Me" featuring a tasteful, never over-done acoustic guitar and piano accompaniment. Nice work, Graham! We look forward to hearing more from you!

"Crazy Blonde" by Jackie Lawson (Country artist from Charleston, Illinois)

WOW! "Crazy Blonde" shows that Jackie Lawson is a true American Country gal with a load of talent, ambition and drive to make it BIG in this highly competitive pursuit of country music. Jackie is "Stubborn", as she reveals in our favorite track by the same name. This country gal should definitely be "Busy, busy, busy" on the concert scene, as she has got what it takes. Jackie performs exceptionally on the entire CD. It was a tough decision picking a favorite track. We enjoyed the mandolin accompanied tune "The First To Fall" as the love ballad pick of this upbeat CD. If you are looking for the new voice of female country music, look no further today. Pick up a copy of this CD!

"Concrete Country" by the Gene Butler Band

"Concrete Country" is an excellent Americana/country CD by the Gene Butler Band. The CD is filled with excellent visual songwriting, excellent musicianship, and excellent recording quality. Gene's raspy voice adds a very distinctive, real sound to the music. The songwriting effectively combines thoughtful lyrics with memorable melodies. The band is tight and talented. We especially enjoy the up-tempo songs on the CD. "You Go On Anyway" and "Ride that Train" have an excellent upbeat rhythmic pattern, harmonica fills, fiddle solo, and 2-part harmonies in the memorable chorus. "Love's the Real Thing" is one of our favorite tracks, with its excellent up-tempo rhythmic pattern and harmonica fills. If you enjoy Americana/country music, you will enjoy this CD.
